• Fake your onward ticket

In most countries you will need an onward or return ticket as a proof that you will leave the country within the validity of the visa. A dumb rule which can be dodged very easily, you will need a fake ticket! The best way of showing you are actually leaving is of course a bus, boat or plane ticket out of the country, but planning ahead when or how you are leaving is probably not your thing. Copa Air reservation For South and Central American countries making a Copa reservation is the best option! • Camping in Australia Guide

Camping in Australia can be an incredible experience and with the right equipment and preparation your can enjoy the freedom of camping to the fullest. After reading our blog about buying a vehicle you are now ready for the next step… buying camping gear! What kind of gear you need depends on your way of transportation and camping in Australia. Are you traveling by car or van or maybe public transport? In this blog we assume you have your own transportation. So then a new question pops up, will you sleep in a tent or in your car?  We bought a Ford Territory, a big MPV and with the backseat flat it perfectly fits a thick comfy mattress we bought at Ikea.  We bought our car in Cairns, but the nearest Ikea was in Brisbane. • Citytrip to Christchurch – New Zealand

New Zealand, how we planned to go to this country and decided to skip it… and then ended up going there for three citytrips. A visarun citytrip to Christchurch and two transit citytrips to Auckland made us discover just a bit of this country and it asked for more! Our initial plan was to visit New Zealand after our travels through Australia, but now we’re not so sure. By the time we will leave Australia it’ll be late autumn in New Zealand. Soon winter will come and take away the sunlight and the warmth. Eventhough our time in Australia was mostly too hot and too dry, we are not going to New Zealand for the grey skies. Camping in the rain is not particularly our idea of a good time so we might skip this beautiful country for now… with pain…

  • An extraordinary journey

That is it friends… we are back in the Netherlands. It has been an adventure to the max. 23 months of new cultures, new faces, new friends in different places. A lot of fun and some really really unpleasant stuff. Loooooonnng trips in full minibuses with crying babies, dead chickens and my knees up to my ears. Not so comfortable beds with unwanted guests, sweaty nights and cold showers. Freezing nights and cold showers… Waking up at night thinking where the bathroom is thís time. Losing track of what day it is, what date and even what month. Forgetting a visa actually has an end date… Remember that time watching the milky way in South Africa, camping with 47 °C in the Australian outback, playing soccer with street kids in Madagascar. Remember when I sat in that bus seat soaked…
